98 GMC Suburban Diesel has an older model of the elite series and ignition/ guage warning lights no longer come on and the truck will not turn over to start. I'm trying to determine if this is an ignition or alarm issue. New engine, starter etc just installed 2 weeks previously and no problems till now. Truck was driven over some rough gravel which may have jarred something loose. Ran fine, turned off and alarm not set came back 5 minutes later and no guage warning lights came on when the key was turned on ( radio lights up clock ). I'm thinking the valet switch could have been hit as it hangs down by the pedals. I do not have the owners manual. The sensor was flashing when I tried to check it out, Alarm still sets and unlocks, this system is pretty basic 2 button, no remote start that I'm aware of. I had found the owners manual online several months ago and printed it and can no longer find it. I no longer care if the alarm works as I just need to get my truck home. Any help on bypassing the alarm, or cutting it out completely in order to start would be good for now. Who owns code alarm now ?  Seems like it was that site where I downloaded the manual from. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Girlfriend is beating me up over my " lemon ". 10k for a new engine, turbo etc after a Jiffy Lube oil change locked up the motor from not putting enough oil in it, and now this.

a lot of the older elite seris had an N/O start kill so if you unplug the car will not start. all i can find is the guide for the 3100 elite, the strt kill wires are the white and WHITE/ red. also i belive on the back had the wire guide for the system.
