I am wondering if there is a way to increase the working distance of the factory door lock remotes on a 2002 Avanlanche.

    NO there is no way. But if your are thinking of adding a remote stater unit to your factory remote? just upgrade to a unit that can operate door locks. The range will be 100 times better. may a suggest 552t Valet remote start by DEI.

No way of upgrading that I know of----but how old of a 2002 is it?  If it's been on the road for a year and the remote has seen a lot of use, it might be time to replace its battery.
