jones100001,kartuneman,

don't use the WHITE/ green tach at the ecm for this vechile. there was a service bulletine up that using the tach behind the glove box will cause the sevice engine light to come on. the warning did not come up on astroflex, but is indicated on directed. use the the non common injector wire instead. i have not seen it myself, but sometime it's better to advoid if the warning is there.

Just cost me $62.00 at the dealer, to here him tell me that the "service engine soon" light was on due to the fact that someone had connected the remote starter to the the fuel injection. The code the Ecm was giving was P0174 - System to Lean: (Bank 2).
So my question now is where do I plug my tach wire so that the ecm doesn't freak out?

I don't want to pay $62.00 everytime that light comes on.

Two of our biggest dealers we service are Nissan dealers. We've had tach issues on the dam things since i can remember. Funny, you'll use a coil wire on one and it works, get the same model car the next day and only a fuel injector will work. We finally went tachless on them all, had no problems since....

I've also been doing all my Nissans tachless for about the past three or four years, without issue. Set it for 0.8 seconds crank time, and it'll start up so smoothly you can hardly event tell it's tachless.

I put a remote start on my wife's 2005 altima. I tapped in at one of the fuel injectors. Just remove the plastic engine cover, like 3 screws I think. and the fuel injector wires are in plain view, they are covered in black plastic tubing. I used the one closest to the drivers side then ran the wire thru the firewall along with the siren wire and the hoodpin wire. Alot of people dont like to grab a tach signal under the hood for some reason, but its not a big deal because you have to run wires there anyway for your siren and hoodpin.
