I am Trying to Install a Design Tech Ready start system Model#20092. This is on a 1991 Olds cutlass supreme Convertable with a Digital dash. I installed it using this Diagram which gave a little more info than the diagram on this site sorry https://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/1991/Oldsmobile/Cutlass-Supreme After I had everything hooked the Start function tried to start but only half of the ignition system came on. I would have the Radio and the Seatbelt lights and some lights. But the digital dash itself would not light up. Then car would crank but not start. I am assuming that it is because only half the ignition is coming on. But neither the Manual that came with the alarm or the diagram says you need to use 2 ignition wire to make the entire system come on. I wonder if there is a combo of wires needed for the entire system to work? Has anyone ever installed into one of these cars with the digital dash and ran into the same problem that can shed some light on the fix? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you

Tried that still nothing. Something still doesn't seem right with the wiring.

Some of these cars had three ignition circuits or two accessory wires. Check that you are powering the pink and blue/white wires as igntion circuits. There may also be a PURPLE / white or green or white wire that may either be a 3rd ignition or second accessory wire. It will usually be a thick wire. Check with a meter to see what it is. I have run into this a few times and not all wiring information sheets list it correctly.

Ok here is the Latest story.
I bought this Alarm off e-bay and think I might have gotten Duked. But anyways I rehooked everything up and when I tried to start it the car cranked but still no dash lights. Also smoke started to come out of the Alarm. Does anyone have a system like this that they can open up and look at a resistor on the circuit board and either post a pic of theirs or give me the Band colors on the resistor? I have inserted a picture of the circuit board and added a red arrow to the one I need the info on. I think someone might have hooked it up once before I got it and fried it and not it finished burning now. Any info will be great.

Try to verify which wires work and do not work out of the Ignition/Accessory outputs. If it's just a second ignition or accessory output that is burned out we can help you wire up a few additional relays to get around the burned one. Please try remote starting and verifying which wires have a +12v output during the start attempt. Specifically check the Igniotion outputs for now and post back the results.

Doesnt that car have the little resistor in the key? If so you have to do a PATS bypass set up as well. But definetly get that brain worked out first.

Sorry haven't reported back yet. The car has had more important things go wrong so I haven't had the time to test as of yet but will soon.
