I recently purchased a 1995 Honda Civic Coupe SE 5 Speed. It came with an older Powerstart Remote Start/Alarm system. The Remote control that came with the setup has 2 buttons. One is a small oval green button and the other is a larger oval red button. When I try and turn on the car using the green button, the dash lights flash and it makes a sound like its trying to turn the engine over but doesnt succeed. I can set the alarm but it doesn't actually do anything when the car is touched. When I hit the panic button the siren and lights go off. There is a small red button under my steering column and I am not sure what it is used for. This system was working but now it is isn't. I am thinking I put it into some sort of Valet mode but I'm not sure. If anyone has any info on this older setup and could provide me with some suggestions that would be great,

sounds like you need to relearn tach.
dont have diagram for the alarm, but you can probably find it by doing a goodle search. search for the install manual

Ok, I finally figured out the problem. When I took the car in to get an inspection, the mechanics unplugged one of the Powerstart relay fuses from the socket. Luckily they also decided to leave the loose fuse jammed behind a bunch of wires so I could accidently find it while looking around the transponder (idiots). I plugged the fuse back in to the socket and downloaded a manual from https://www.gitsecurity.com/ for the current version of my alarm (The 9100) and now everything works.
