Just like the topic says. I need an alarm for an 03 civic manual. I have done several prestige (audiovox) alarm/remote starts, and viper alarm/remote starts and love the features they have. but since this is a manual I don't need a remote start and would rather not deal with not the extra wires in a remote start system.
I would like it to be two way paging, and would like it to be cheap. Any suggestions for a 2way alarm w/o remote start?
Another question is, i have never used a microwave sensor before, do they work better than the shock sensor? should I (can I) use both?
Also this is the low end model civic (don't remember the letter designation dx, lx, ex) does it have the transponder system?
Thanks

I say get the Viper 5000, Python 900, or Clifford 10.5x
And buy a DEI microwave sensor. And all you do is plug it into the extra port that^^ alarm has.
Most likely it does have transponder. But that has NOTHING to do with regular alarm. (only remote start)
Seeing how you already did alarm/remote start install, should be easy to do alarm only.

that car most likely does have a transponder; just look for the flashing green key on the gauge cluster when you put the key in and turn it on however, if you're not doing a remote start system then the transponder issue is really moot. ------------- Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

Thanks guys, I think I will look into the viper 3000, the price is right and it seems to have everything I want. I still don't know how I would hook up a shock sensor and a microwave sensor. will it have two ports? any ideas?

I just ordered an autopage 420lcd. I have heard good things about autopage and it also has dual ports.
I am ordering a dei 508d field disturbance sensor for it right now.
