I am purchasing a new car and want my remote start transfered to that car.  All I know about my remote starter is that it is a Viper.  The mechanic installing it needs the wiring information in order to install it.  Is there any way to get this information without knowing the model of my remote starter?

A picture is worth a thousand words or some sort of number from the unit would help, otherwise probably not. You may want to find Viper dealer in your area who has a bit of time to spare and lots of kindness to look it up for you.

Economic 101, opportunity cost.

Have you consider buying a new remote starter unit for your NEW CAR instead of uning an old unit that may break down sooner than a newer one? Just a thought.

ill guess its the viper 130xv.
Second guess would be 160xv.

A description of the remote could also help.
