hi,

I'm installing a 160XV in a 2006 sprinter.  the only missing wire is the Wait to start light.  All wiring list posted here does not have the wait to start wire. Anyone has more info please?

The vehicule is equiped with a diesel engine in winter time,  it's takes more than 15-30 seconds to start the engine.

BTW, Aftermarket doorlock are quite easy to install in this van, you only need the ORIGINAL sliding door contact for the rear and side door, Holes are already on the vehicule.

Thanks

Frank

You need to use one of those lame DEI pulse timers, since you cannot program the start time. The problem with the accesable glow plug wire, is, it stays 12v even when the light goes out. You need to set your pulse timer for at least 30 seconds, it will start every time then without connecting to the wait to start.

Not so fast KarTuneMan. All 160XV's built after date code 5J have built in timers. Check your install guide, fprovincal, in the program features.

The unit date code is 5H...

I will install a 30 sec timer and connect it to the wait to start wire.

Thanks for the fast reply.
