Hello. I used to have a topic where I asked this question but apparently that topic and all my posts have been removed. Sorry if I broke a rule but I didn't realize it.
I have just recently installed a 791xv into my Cavalier without a single problem amazingly. The only inquiry I have about this setup is regarding the transmitter. I've looked through the manual and online and cannot find the answer and was hoping maybe someone on here can assist me.
When in the programming mode for the transmitter I can adjust the illumination, vibration or beep mode, and paging mode. If I push the AUX button I can change from the hood, the trunk, or both on my LCD screen. I was curious as to what this function does. As I said I can't find it in my install guide or my owners manual.
Thanks

THAT FUNCTION PROGRAMS THE REMOTE TO DISPLAY WHAT YOU CONNECTED THE BLUE INSTANT TRIGGER INPUT WIRE TO IN THE VEHICLE. TRUNK, HOOD, OR BOTH.

That function is for the pin switches that you can add on to the alarm. This funtion triggers the alarm if the hood , trunk, or both is opened without disarming the alarm.
