I really could use some help on this install. This is my 5th installation with the Hornet series, and this is the only one I'm having trouble with.

Again, this is a 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited with all options. RS is a Hornet 564T and the 457C interface.

All the standard connections are tested, soldered and completed. (main starting harness, brake switch, siren, 12v sources and grounds, shock sensor, tach signal[to coil wire] and such.  I do have the 555C and that seems straight forward.

Here's my questions:

The 457C door lock harness, it is labeled for use only with Liberty, but that can't be right...

Can anyone tell me for sure what wires I need to connect to. This is the harness with the pink , pink/black, and brown wiring.

I have found the tan/red wire and the light GREEN/ orange wire at the driver's door lock, but with the directions I have, I'm not even sure what to test for.  It also states the pink goes to the lock/unlock( pink/purple ) in the pass. kick panel, but the wiring sheet calls that the disarm wire.

I'm also having trouble with the domelight supervision, do I need a relay or not? The instruction sheet tells me to look for a (-) yellow/dk green wire above the diagnostic plug, and I cannot find it.

Anyone with experience with this particular install, please help me....I'm too far in to take it somewhere and I'm going nuts looking at schematics that are inconsistent.

I'm one step from buying the install CD from "12 volt resource" on ebay.

I'm also willing to pay if someone will give me over the phone advice to finish this. ($ sent After it works!!)

Thanks a lot,

Ron

Yes, the extra 3-pin harness is just for the Liberty. They weren't making it up. All the other Chryslers should be able to perform all functions right through the databus in the car.

Hopefully, the 457C will already turn on the domelight when unlocking, so there shouldn't be much need for connecting your domelight supervision feature.

I haven't installed a 457C, so i'm not 100% sure whether it'll turn on the domelight, but it's worth trying first.
