hello im a apprentise at tweeter and the installer i work under is not here.  im installing a prox sensor in a 96 2 door explorer and its all DEI so i no that all i have to do is match the colors up with the shock sensor, but wear do i place it???  would i place it in the headlinner???  thats the only place that makes sense to me.  should i use velcro to secure it so it wont move around??  thanks a lot guys :)

The placement of the prox is crucial to proper function. The best way to think about it is the piece puts out a spherical shaped field and any metal blocks the field. Try to put it in the center of the vehicle one side won't be more sensitive. in the headliner will work as long as no metal in the way. Then test and test again. Good luck.
