545t installed in an 03 Eclipse.  Headlights/parking lights work fine via the photo cell.  I am not able to turn on the factory fog lights because the multifunction switch in not physically in the ON position.  Its only until I turn the headlight switch on that the fog lights will work.  I used the purple wire at the switch that controlls both the parking lights and headlights.  I also metered the fog light switch to see if it was tied into the multifunction switch, but I could not see any changes.  Anyone run into this issue?  Thanks for looking.

I am not quite understanding the problem. Are you trying to tie the foglights into the 545T? Or is the vehicle not acting correctly since the install?

Also DEI has "Headlight RED / blue (L), WHITE/ red (R)   +   headlights, relay under hood " listed for the headlight and "Parking Lights+ GREEN / WHITE   +   pin 2, 15 pin plug above fuses " for parking lights. It may have to do with the way you tied into the lighting system.

Well neither LOL

If I let the 545t trigger on the headlights/parking lights then I am NOT able to turn on the fog lights... But, if I manually turn on the headlights (even though they are already on) via the multifunction switch then the fog lights will turn on.    Basically from what I gathered the fog light switch is a momentary switch that activates a relay to trigger them on.

Many cars with factory fog lights wire it that way all the time. To turn on fog lights, you need to turn it to 2nd position (low), 1st position (parking light) doesn't work. And when high beams are turned on, fog lights automatically get turned off.
If you are brave enough, rewire it yourself so that fog lights depend on parking light and not headlights. Grab your car manual, it's not that difficult when you see the diagram.

Thanks for the reply.  It just sucks having to buy a guide for each vehicle.  I was hoping someone would chime in with the answer. lol  thank you all!

I do have 01-05 of EVO manual, if that's identical. Also, there should be a forum dedicated for Eclipse, google is your best friend. Just get the diagram from those people.

Here's the common wiring for aftermarket fog light:
85 - (+)from parking light, or 1st position
86 - (-)fog light switch
30 - (+)to both fog lights
87 - (+)constant 12V fused

You need both 85 and 86. When fog light switch is in ON position, you only get (-) to 86, no (+) to 85, thus the fog light relay is not energized.
The difference is 85, for your car that connects to low beam (2nd position).

Think of that, a quick and dirty way is to cut the fog light wire (the one connects to low beam) and T it to your parking light (+) wire. It doesn't seem to harm anything to me, this wire is only being used to trigger 85 to energize the fog light relay. You even can add a diode (perhaps high amp) so it goes in one direction.

I will have to look into this deeper.  Thanks for the help!
