OK its been a very long time since I have installed on a desiel and I haven't put a ultra start on one ever so any tips would be great. I trying to get this squared up before I start. I am looking at the ultra start menu 3 setting 2 gas/diesel mode option 1 (reads like this)(1)+ input 1 flash (+) glow plug input. waits up to 30 seconds..... Now my question is this if I program this option and do not tie into a + glow plug input it will time out at 30 seconds and then start? Just trying to get a second opinion.......By the way its going on a 06 dodge ram diesel...

From what I remember you do have to hook up the glow plug input for it to delay. But I can't really say for 100% it's been a couple years since I dealt with ultrastart.

The ultra start will work fine with out the DEI timer. Pick the polariry of the wait to strt wire program it, set for 15 seconds....easy.

Yes my bad......check to see if there is a way to program the unit for MAX wait time, without connecting to the wait wire.

Thats why I love astrostart so darn much....

I got'er. 528t set to 30 seconds better safe than sorry, now to program the bypass posted_image
