I have just installed a Python 1400XP remote start and can not get my door lock/unlock to work. Can anybody provide some insite to this?

I also would like to know if I have to connect the factory disarm wire as well as the factory arm wire?

Thanks,

John

Can I just connect the blue wire from the remote to the ORANGE / violet and the green wire to the pink/violet? Or do I need to use a relay? The kit was supplied with a DEI 451M relay module.

I am not sure which wires that I need to cut. Is it the blue and ORANGE / black that go to the motor or is it the ORANGE / violet and pink/violet wires.

I will assume that if I get the door locks right I don't need to connect the factory re-arm wire from the Python brain?

you dont need to cut any lock wires just tap into them with the 451m
Power Lock ORANGE / purple   +  blue plug in driver kick
Power Unlock pink/purple   +  blue plug in driver kick

and on the factory arm it will arm when you lock the doors with the python. use the disarm wire when the remote start engages.

Factory Alarm Arm arms with lock
Factory Alarm Disarm lt. GREEN/ orange   -
Notes:Located at a black plug in the drivers kick panel.

I am still having trouble with this system. I have connected the unlock wire okay , but can not get the lock portion to work. I have located two orange wires in the black plug in the drivers side kick panel. The other plug color located on that side is white. I have tested the output from the 451M and confirmed that is positive, I have also tested the wire that I am connecting to and it is positive when the lock switch is triggered on the stock system. When I activate the python it pops the fuse on the 451M. What am I doing wrong?

Shaggy it is actually in the white lower plug, located next to the unlock wire. There are only two orange wires with strip, but there could be a brown wire with orange strip. I gues I could try that.

I have the blue with black of the 451 connected to the pink with purple and I had the green with black from the 451  connected to the orange with purple of the harness. I have heard that tis system may be a five way system sould I be using all of the wires on the 451 to interrupt the wiring?
