had a customer the other day that came in w/ a Prostart RS (3100).  install went fine (99 alero). Problem is w/ the remotes, He didn't have any.  Prostart is basically a Autostart, w/ a different sticker.Tryed to program up an autostart remote (b4 on the bench and after in the vehicle).  NO LUCK.  though that was weird, since the both brains look the same (even the wiring is the same). I did however, have a used prostart remote, that programed up no problem.  that being said, i got 2 questions.  why wound the autostart remote not program up.  and does anyone know where i can get new prostart remotes.  im the montreal area.

Prostart brand is sold at Canadian Tire. There are 5 stores in the Montreal area.

Auto Start & Pro Start are still two different products & in the eyes of the FCC they can't use the same frequency for their remote controls.
