Hi everyone, I've try to program my DEI 555C but did not work !!!!

-I've put 12V on

-ground the blue wire then the relay click

-place the chip near the key hole and insert the first key, trun on run position for 8 secs.

-turn off and insert the second one until the red light flashing (no sound)

-turn off and connect the ground wire of the dei to my negative when running

-remote start the car in diesel mode with the chip near the key hole

DON'T WORK, which parts missing ?????

Thanks

you're doing it wrong... you dont activate the unit and put the pellet up to the ignition until AFTER you have relearned the first two keys... then you learn the 555C as a third key.... you also have to learn BOTH grey keys first... as the instructions that come with the 555C say REPEATEDLY....

i dont use the deisel wait to start to activate the unit i always do the key in tin foil the third time and learn the 555C that way... it takes me about 40 seconds to learn one of these modules.....

Thanks Kevin,

first the english is not my first language, so when I read the instruction, it was wrote "make sure that the 555 chip can reach the front of the key hole"

I've not only make sure, i've put it there, I WAS WRONG, as you told me !

Now it's done and I know how, thanks again.

You aren't relearning the first two keys at all... the car needs to see 2 different RFID keys in succession to enter customer programming mode.....

I have always just grounded the WTS wire when learning pellets. Lets me know my placement is good, and that everything is powering up correctly. If it won't learn, that means some accessory isn't popping on (generally... trucks....). Then there are the odd Durangos....

true, but i've had vehicles that will only learn the pellett if ALL ignitions and accesories are powered even though they aren't needed for R/S.... so if you just ground the status wire of the 555C and then do the key in foil for the final learn sequence it works flawlessly every time because all sources are being powered by the key.....

same for the new ones (556C) except it takes all of 6 seconds to pop the key apart and remove the rubber pad with the keyless and transponder pcb... dont even need tin foil... super quick and easy....
