I've installed a python 881xp in my 06 F150 supercrew.  I've remote started it a couple times now with the key in the ignition.  I have power and a solid ground to the 556s module and connected the status wire to the 2nd status of the 881.  Followed the instructions in the manual and have had no luck.  Is there a trick to these things or do I need to connect the status wire to something else?  Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.   Thanks

I have made my connections put the key in and turn to run.  The led doesn't light up like it says it's supposed to.

and you tried learning it with BOTH keys?

you're saying the security light in your cluster doesn't light up? (because there is no LED on the module at all)

also, make sure you connect to the "true" status wire the Blue one on the 4 pin plug and NOT the Blue/white second status output.....

Currently It's connected to the 2nd status blue/white but i did try the solid blue on the 4 pin just to see if that would make a difference and sure enough it didn't .  I was even going to tap into the blue wire in the ribbon harness to see if it would work that way but didn't try it yet.

try putting the key in the ignition just in the cylinder not in the on position and remote starting the unit this way you ca at least be sure it is the 556s unit
