requires the 556s by dei
or
just buy a uncut key that works with the ford, program it, then put it in a 555u box.
both is the same

555F = PATS

556S = SECURLOCK

1100F = BOTH

Right, the 555F is for older Fords. Plus, the idea of gluing the little pellet in place is dumb, and it takes too long to find a good spot.

Just get a Ford key that looks similar to yours (the long style), and put that in a bypass box; much easier and more reliable.

Take note that even a used Ford key from another car will also work. You might find a junkyard that has one laying around they'd sell you, or maybe the dealer or locksmith has a mis-cut key they'd sell you for a discount.

You can use preprogammed keys from another ford, and use it to bypass transponder?

What about hondas and toyotas?

i would be weary about using the 556u with the key i have had problems with that unit and the sport trac the vehicle for some reason does not start properly in cold weather when it is warm no problem but first thing in the morning they just dont like to work i went through 3 units and two installs before i gave up and bought a bypass from another shop and used that and first try no problems i contacted dei and they said it was a combination of  the 556u and the cold and fords they just dont like to work together

alot of fords have problems in the cold weather unless you secure the transponder ring properly.........

get yourself an xk04 from xpresskits or bypasskits or audiovox they are pretty unbeatable

no key required
