What are you putting in?  Power cable im assuming.  On my car(92 Prelude) and a couple other hondas, I've noticed a gromet not being used when the passenger side junction block is removed by the firewall. There are only a couple bolts securing it down and routing the power cable or any cables is simple and clean.  Its just a little easier with a gromet already there.  Its not on all of them but ive seen them on a couple. Worth  a check at least.
