Hi guys,
i recently got a clifford matrix 3.5 installed on my 2004 ford explorer it includes a 507m sensor, 520t, and an extra siren and i am having a few problems. The guy who installed it for me has been installing car alarms for about 10years now but he not a certified "Pro" like some of the guys on this forum. anyway here are the problems
-when i disarm the alarm it will always arm on its own even with all of the doors open and the rear hatch except if the drivers side door is open it will not arm.
-since the 507m was installed, when the alarm arms itself about 80percent of the time the alarm will go off about 5 seconds after its armed.
-If i`m sitting in the car and i turn off the ignition the alarm will arm itself, even if the key is in the ignition, i thought it wasnt supposed to arm unless one of the doors opens then closes.
-sometimes when i disarm the alarm and open up a door the dome light will not come on until i open up the drivers side door.

I would also like to have integrated it with the factory alarm so if i enter the code on the keypad it will open the doors and disarm the clifford but he didnt know how to do that. any help you guys could give me would be appreciated.

Not a Pro, but your installer did not use the dome supervision wire, but rather used a door trigger.  This is why you are having these problems with the matrix bypassing the door/hatch.

sounds like it's programmed for passive arming, not active arming like i always do......

i prefer the passive arming. regardless it still shouldnt arm itself until a door is open. and even when the door is open it still goes off.

Yep, sounds like wrong doorpin wires or he dioded incorrectly.  He needs to not use the door pin but instead use the domelight wire, BLACK/ blue in the kickpanel and it's positive. This will catch all doors. As for making the door pad work, not possible.
