I want to stock a few manual-transmission remote starters for this season.

But, if I don't manage to sell them to manual-transmission customers, I don't want to get stuck sitting on them.

Are there any manual-transmission units that can also be used in regular, automatic-transmission mode? That way, I could still sell them no matter what.

Compustar has ALL their model line up to be manual/auto ready ( at least in Canada ). As far as other companies, I've heard that AutoStart will be introducing their manual/auto line up for next year as well as maybe Astro Start.

I remember reading this post about Compustar

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=81775&KW=compustar

US models come preprogrammed, so that even if the loop is cut, it will always be a manual? (question, not a statement)

That's what I heard about the US models  ( that's why I wrote " at least in Canada " in my post ) posted_image I think Firsttech is trying to cover their butts in the US by introducing the separate model for legal reasons. The new 06/07 models in Canada are still dual transmission units as well as their new PRO Lineup.
