I have a Viper 550 esp installed on an 87 toyota pickup it is mainly installed to use the door locks but it is good theft deterent also. it has been workin fine except that it would blink and beep 4 times when i unarmed it now when i arm it or disarm it does nothing but lock and unlock the panic still makes the alarm go off but no shock sensor or anything.  what is the problem?? I have checked all of the fuses and all are good

It sounds as if you have the unit in valet mode. The manual for that system can be found here. It will explain all the ways to take the system in and out of valet mode via the remote and the valet switch.

ok that was awsome it worked now how about the four beeps and flashing of the lights when the alarm is disarmed??

Sounds like the ignition wire for the alarm may not be connected properly.  The beeps are to let you know that the alarm was triggered while you were away from the car.  The unit is supposed to reset when you trn the ignition on.  To test if that's the problem.  Get in the truck.  Arm the alarm.  Wait about 15 seconds.  Put the key in the ignition slowly so you don't trigger the shock sensor.  turn the igition on.  If the alarm doesn't start going off, then that's the problem.

The 550 ignition wire is on the relay packet (pink, not pink/white). My guess is you didnt hook this up.
You can also cut the ribbon before it reaches the relay and connect the ignition wire.
