I installed a Hornet 742T a few months back in my 98 F150. Everything is working fine, but I have a question. When I installed the alarm I remember the instructions talking about 2 wires that are looped on the siren. I still have the instructions but I think the description of what you can do with the wires was on a loose piece of paper and I can't find any information.

It seems like you change the sound of siren by cutting the wires - but can't remember for sure.

One wire is black and the other wire is BLACK/ wht.  Does some one know what I gain or change by cutting the wires.

Thanks in advance for your time

to change sounds open up the siren. the black loop is for to use the "chirps" at full volume, if uncut is 6db lower. as for the BLACK/ white i never saw that one. then again never really pay to much atenntion to the siren

well i found one with the BLACK/ white wire. if you cut this wire is say you delete sounds 2-6 for EU market. if still want to delete certain sounds open up the siren and cut loops there
