anyone know what colors these will be.....i cant get the column shroud off, but it looks like they come to a green plug under the dash to the right of the column..... a green 4 pin plug... anyone know off hand which is TX and which is RX?

There should be a ground, and ign, then the rx tx wires... I usually hook up acording to the diagram in the bypass, but have reversed them, no harm.. the module will not program... just temp wire them, proogram the module.. if the carr remote starts then your good.. if not just revers them and then program.... then solder em up...

If the plug is staring you in the face, (looking at the end of the plug, with the release clip UP) the TX is the far right, and the RX is next to it.

thanx, i ended up using a 556S as it was much quicker ... the instructions with the XK04 were confusing (more of a hassle than confusing)   it said after hooking up the module to jumper the ignition wires and jumper GWR to learn the module....

for future reference, couldnt i just have activated the remote after the second key and have had it learn the module?  just like the 556S?
