I've got a Viper 600ESP with the 508D Proximity Sensor installed on my Honda and it all works fine. I'm thinking of putting in a bypass for the Proximity Sensor because it seems to irritate the hell out of the bystanders when I park along a busy street.

For now, I've set the external zone to be as close as I can get it, and with that it is only activated close to the doors but I loose sensitivity at the front and rear of the car. Has anyone ever connected a bybass switch to turn off the sensor in busy areas? Is it as easy as just cutting teh power form the unit?

Thanks heaps

That's easy....... there are four wires.  Red is 12v+, Black is ground, Blue and Green are sensor inputs.  You can cut the red or black wire and connect it to a on off switch.
