So I am stumped and the guys at FTE recommended I try picking your brain.

I have installed a Crimestopper RS900VII in the said truck. Remote start works fine, but I can't get the door locks to work properly, or at all for that matter.

First off, I can't get a firm word on whether the door lock system is positive, negative or reverse polarity. (The truck has factory keyless entry with out the fat key for the anti-theft). I have tried the positive wiring and just today the reverse polarity with relays and nothing has worked.

I did not hook up the OEM disable as I did not think that it was neccesary. I was also unable to find the DkGREEN/ Purple wire that wiring magic claims is the OEM disable wire in the drivers side kick panel.

The wires in the kick panel that I am using are
door lock - Pink / YELLOW tracer
door unlock - Pink/Light green tracer

Can anyone help me with this...

Thanks in Advance!

what happens when you meter those wires?    you should be able to determine what they are by metering them....

my info shows them as negative on most models, 5 wire on base model

According to dei the wires are located in a gray molex plug to the right of the steering column, the should be negative trigger and pink / YELLOW and pink/lt.green. If you didn't have factory keyless they would be 5 wire hook up.

Crimestopper believes them to be negative to, but that did not work.

Wire #1 - 12V on unlock
Wire #2 - 12V on lock

In that scenario I should just splice into the wires, but that did not work...

Have yoy metered the wires to confirm their polarity?

No, I am not sure how to do that. I have a dmm but am not that well trained on it. It is a digital unit if you help me.

Also, if the rke unit is set up for negative then how can I test those posts to make sure they are working and that the unit is not the issue.

I would test the vehicle first. What voltage settings does your dmm have?

voltage settings 200v, 20v, 2000m, 200m and all the others. It is a nice digital one.

When I test the vehicle I get
Wire #1 - 12v unlock, .3v lock
Wire #2 - 12v lock, .3v unlock

Some one told me this is reverse polarity once, but who know at this point.

OK use the 20 volt setting. What is the reading without hitting the switch? Then hit the switch if it drops to near 0 then they are negative trigger.

Got it, hooked up, working, all good.

It was operator error. I was using the wrong tow pink / YELLOW, pink/ltgreen wires.

Thanks Guys...
