i have a crimestopper CS-2016DP.FM in a 96 nissan altima. I tried to start my car with the remote start on a cold morning and it would beep then the alarm would die and stop working all together. Then after a while the alarm would work again. In the middle of the day and the engine is warmed up the remote start would work no problem. Did any1 have this problem b4 and can any1 tell me if i can fix it? Or any1 know what i could check?

As kgerry suggest, look for this wire. It's most likely the case. Make sure you also set the jumper setting on the remote starter unit to second starter.
Starter blk/yel to blk/wht + ignition harness
Second Starter blk/grn to blk/yel + ignition harness
"SECOND STARTER
Also known as the cold start wire. As with the starter wire, it changes state only when the key switch is held in the start position, but is not connected to the starter motor. Interrupting this wire will not prevent the starter motor from spinning. This wire needs to be activated only when adding a remote start, and must be activated only while the vehicle is starting."

I would suggest maybe reprogramming tach or check the key bypass you used. How bout the hoodpin switch on that unit?

what do u mean by reprogramming tach? Im not using a tach wire, im using the tachless feature. And i dont think my car needed a key bypass. The hoodpin was a lil loose but still working.

well, I know for a fact having worked with crimestopper before, its probably a good idea to hook up tach. they are just more reliable (as reliable as they can be) when it gets cold if tach is hooked up.
