I read someone elses post about not needing to add a relay and resistor for the 2nd start wire when using the audiovox remote starters, you can just use the negative pulse while cranking wire in the 4pin harness from the unit and hook it directly up to the vehicles 2nd start wire and it works fine. So today I tested that theory and it does work fine this will save some extra time at the end of the day when im benching tons of installs all winter long. the transistor output must be close enuff to the 180 ohm resistance the car is looking for to make it work.

Yeah, it definitely saves a lot of time. We do the same where I work.

Those cars will also work out fine without any second-starter connected at all. But it sure can't hurt to quickly hook up that BLACK / YELLOW from the Audiovox just to be safe.
