Reprogram everything again.

So my Ac delco battery is getting pretty tired and all,im going to upgrade to a optima. The thing that worrys me is that the min i disconnect that neg terminal the alarm brain will forget everything and the passkey 2 will forget its code thats programmed into the bypass module.

also if i ever have to jump start my car with my power pack will that do harm to the alarm brain and bypass module.

if i could get some help that would be great

thanks:)

Generally no, but it it is a lot easier to answer your question if you mention what alarm products you have installed.

do you mean 555lw, the bypass if unprogrammed will program upon start-up with the key. I doubt you'll have any issues. Ultra starts go into service mode when the battery dies but thats and easy fix no loss in programming.

I have an autopage 860 on my Suburban with a gmbp bypass module. I've had to relapce the battery recently and no problems whatsoever besides having to reset my clock and radio stations.
