05 Toyota Sienna parking light

hello, please help,  i have install a 2 way alarm/remote start on this 05 sienna. everything is working find, but i have a problem with the parking light, i can't get it work. My alarm/ remotate start is a Scytek 4000rs. the diagram said the parking light is (-)GREEN/ BLACK at the headlight switch, there was two of them at the headlight switch i have test it and have the right wire. then i connect the (-) parking light output from the RS unit to this wire but it didn't work out. please can someone please help me.

Parking Lights+      do not use, relay rests at gnd           
Parking Lights-      GREEN/ black       -       headlight switch

Does your RS have an option for negative trigger park lights w/ a jumper or something.....if not use a relay...
85=12v park lights from alarm
87=ground
86=ground
30=(-)output to park lights
think thats right,lol....GL

If it's not working, you just need to do a little bit of troubleshooting.

Temporarily disconnect the parking light wire from the Toyota.

--Test the Toyota wire AGAIN to verify that it really is the right one. That car has three GREEN/ blacks in the steering column; not just two.

(Parking lights, horn, and left-turn signal)

Do the Toyota's parking lights still work when you turn them on manually?

--Test the wire from the alarm while operating the aftermarket remote; does that work?

--After that, you can continue looking around until you figure out what it is.

Here's a list of many (but not all) possible different causes:

-wrong parking light wire from car.
-wrong wire from alarm.
-alarm is bad.
-alarm is mis-programmed, missing a fuse or jumper, or set for positive output by accident.
-wire from alarm to car is broken or cut someplace.
-you had the right connection, but it wasn't connected well.

have you work on one of this car before? which GREAN/BLACK WIRE  did you connect.  IS THAT the one not from the headlight switch?

Yes it's the one from the headlight switch.  When you ground this wire the parking lights come on. If this happens then it's the right one. Are you sure your alarm is set for a negaitve output for the lights?

Um....... you're testing the wires, right?

You test all three wires in the steering column harness until you find that one that tests as negative parking lights.

I guess you could run your wire all the way up into the steering column right up to the headlamp switch.......but that's messy........ much neater job if you get the ignition, parking lights, and horn wire all in one spot together.
