I have a 1991 Honda Accord Ex and wanted to know how the hood pin swtich works. There is a single wire connection on the bottom, but where does the other wire go? Does it get grounded. I am installing an Ultra Start 4560 remote starter in it. Thanks.

The pinswitch has to be mounted on metal, then thats where it gets the ground. The one wire then sends a ground to the alarm when the switch is closed (hood open). When the larm "sees" a ground on this wire, it knows the hood is open and sounds the alarm. Or in the case of a remote start, it will shut down the engine.

The mounting nut of the pinswitch needs to receive a constant ground. That said, you can always run a wire from a good solid ground and use something like ring terminal to mount it in between the nuts of the pinsiwtch.

Forcing it to mount on a metal with poor ground signal does no good. In other words, pinswitch doesn't have to be mounted on metal.

I have an ULtra Start 4560 type model remote starter system and wanted to know where or how does a ceratin connection go. On the side of the module there is a connection for a, and I quote, "30 AMP Starter Disable Relay" and it states in the manual that it is "Normally Connected". What that said, where does this go. And what is it for. Thanks.

Are there any other connections coming out of that plug in on the brain? Ican't seem to find a manual on it.

I agree with bsd1's statement above.

Hi, I wanted to know how to wire in a clutch bypass relay for a 1991 Honda Accord Ex Coupe. I am installing a 4560 series system. I know that I need a relay and I have one, but above the clutch there seems to be two clutch switches, one higher than the other. If someone could inform me on what and how to wire I would appreciate it. Thanks.
