Well I have to do a Remote Start and Keyless on an 06 Honda Pilot and I was planning everything out and reading the directechs sheet and it says the keysense wire is blue/black and "required" does this mean I have to hook up the negative keysense wire from the 556U? Ive never done a car where it said keysense required..Is there anywhere else to grab the factory disarm wire rather than going into the drivers door? Also, any other tips on this car would be appreciated..Thanks Alot

If you don't connect keysense, the domelight will stay on as the customer is driving the car away after remote starting. But, if you lock the doors, the domelight goes out.

I usually just program automatic doorlocks from the remote start, and skip the keysense.

No need to go into the door for disarm.

Over in the passenger fusebox, just above the fuses, there's a light green plug with two empty pins in it.

Use your pulse-before-start on the unlock/disarm pin, and your pulse-after-start on the lock/arm pin. The car will unlock, start, and relock.

One empty pin unlocks and disarms.......the other locks and arms.

My only suggestions would be to use a keyless bypass module with door lock interface. ADS-DLSL HA from iDatalink will do the trick for you for the disarm, locks, bypass & other features as well.

Well I dont have time to get a new bypass/module...I have to do the car tomorrow morning...So I do not need to trigger the keysense wire? All I should have to do is program auto door locks? I just hope the customer doesnt mind that feature...If I have to would I just run the status output trigger to the keysense wire? And for bypassing the factory alarm I should find a 2-pin green plug and test them for (-)factory disarm and (-)arm/lock?? I just want to make sure I dont have any problems!!

I know on the 05 there the factory disarm wires are in the pass kick, but I dont get what you mean by "empty pins" I really want to get everything straight before I have to work on the car...Thanks a ton!!

he means that on the female side of the "harness" there are pins and on the male side there are just empty holes where wires should be........by using a dmm you would be able to test each pin for its purpose......

Just did an '07 Pilot yesterday, so I remember everything 100% clearly now.

2006-up has deleted the passenger-side exterior key cylinder..........and therefore the corresponding wires are also deleted......but the functions still exist.

1. Passenger side---remove doorsill and kick panel.

2. Passenger-side fusebox. Multiple light-green plugs above the fuses.

3. Top plug, wide, many wires. Take your hand and push the wires up a little bit, so you can get a better look at the plug. (No need to undo the plug, though.)

4. In the bottom row of that plug, there are two empty slots.

5. Put your "factory disarm" and "unlock" from the remote start, put them together, and stuff them into one of the holes.

6. Put your "pulse after start" and "lock" wires together, and stuff them into the other hole.

7. If the locks work opposite of the way they should, simply reverse the two wires.

8. Put a zip tie or something, so the wires won't pull out of the holes.

9. When you're all done, the aftermarket system will do the following:

A. When Lock is pressed, lock the car and arm the factory alarm.
B. When Unlock is pressed, unlock the car, disarm the factory alarm, and turn on the domelight.

C. When remote start is activated, unlock the car, disarm the factory alarm, and turn on the domelight.
D. Immediately after engine starts, re-lock the car.

NOTE: Since the passenger-side key cylinder and wiring are missing, there is no way of "testing" with a meter or test light. You'll have to just be careful you're at the right plug, and put your wires in there.

SECOND NOTE: Avoid the temptation to experiment by putting jumper wires in the holes and touching them to ground.

Rather, simply use the remote starter's lock/unlock outputs.............as they are very low-current outputs, if you make a mistake, it is likely you'll damage the RS instead of the car, which is a lot cheaper!

Thanks for the detailed list...The only thing is, I just dont know if I like the idea of jamming wires into the hole without being able to solder or lock them in, I will check it out though if you guys have done it without them pulling back out. Worst case scenario,I might just end up going into the door for the factory alarm wires just to make sure there is a good secure connection. A few more questions;
1.As far as the keysense wire, does that not need to be hooked up since all it is for is to shut the domelight off?
2.If I decided to just run the wires into the door will pulsing the factory arm wire shut off the domelight or do I have to actually lock the doors?
I am going to be getting the car in a few hours and I will check it out when I get it here...Thanks for all the help!

I was also thinking of maybe seeing how big the pins were and maybe stealing some out of a wire harness, anyone tried that?

Well the install went pretty smooth...Until the end when I went to drill a hole for the tach wire to go into the engine, well I drilled a 1/8 hole and just happend to run into the factory harness in the engine bay...I didnt find this out until I tried to start the car and it wouldnt turn over so I troubleshooted it down to where I hit the bundle of wires and cut 4 of them clean in half, I pulled the harness out then resoldered all the wires back together, the car started up fine but now it has a check engine light  which I scanned the code and its throwing a malfunictioning 02 sensor circuit...I am thinking that when I struck the wires it must have shorted the sensor or computer out...Luckily I knew the person so he said since I fixed all the wires and everything is back together that he will just take it in to the dealer and see if they will replace the sensor under warranty...Never had anything like this happen to me in my 6 years of installing...But the only other problem I have is that the domelight is still staying on after you unlock and get into the car while it is remote started, I need to know what needs to be hooked up to the keysense wire to keep this from happening....The remote start I used doesnt have the option for auto lock programming so I need to know what I have to do...thanks

Guys ,

thanks for helping out with this. I just did an 07 Pilot and according to the data sheets from 05 (all i had) the factory arm/disarm is in the drivers door. THIS IS WRONG! As you stated, in the 06/07 Pilot the light green connector in the passanger side fusebox has 2 missing pins(probably pins #3 and #7).  I picked up a "spare pin kit for Chrysler products" at AutoZone and used 2 of the small pins in the kit and they worked out great. I soldered short wires to the pins, unplugged the light green, pushed the pins in and set them in place so they would connect to the factor spades in the fuse box. Plugged the connector back into the fusebox and it worked perfectly.  I spent 3 days trying to find the factory arm/disarm becuase i had bad information. Love the 2WFM900AS. so much better remote than Viper. You get what you pay for.

The customer came back and stated that they are having the domelight problem...What do I need to hook up to for this? Should I just run the status output wire to the keysense wire?

do it like Chris Luongo (is this the real Chris Luongo?) said, autolock/unlock(ign locking control) before and after key insert.

but if he ran the status output to the keysense, would that work as well?

The prestige unit does not have auto locks  I am thinking diode isolate the status out wire to the keysense wire should do it
