I had an Omega alarm just before I was robbed! It locked the doors and sounded off so I thought it would be good.. little did I know sometime during the night something went wrong and it quit working, needless to say I purchased a AutoPage RF-315 which brings me to my question.

are all alarms wired the same for the lock and unlock feature? (baised upon using the same relay on the same vehicle). I ask this because when i paid $30 an hour to have it installed and it took them two hrs to do it. it had dual relay's..it acted up back then and I went back to the shop where I purchased it and they sold me a double relay in the size of a single. now I have changed alarms and plugged this feature in and walla nothing happens until the arm button is pressed and it locks the doors...so what's the problem you ask.. it doesn't unlock! it also has the igniton control door locks feature and that doesn't work either.. I realize that might have to be programed but relly why doesn't it unlock... could a wire be broken some where? bad relay? or do I know how to wire it!

I know you have three wires coming from the control box. one is the unlock wire, one the lock and one constant 12vdc.  I have a "C" door locking system (5 wire positive).

I also have another question why do they try to make it so complicated to wire a relay for the common do-it-yourselfer..

This is my first post so I hope I didn't get too out of line.

If you paid a "professional" to do your install....don't touch it your self. Take it back. In my opinion, it's that simple. You dig into it yourself and you will more than likely void any warranty you MIGHT have had. You said you paid 30.00 an hour. Take it back.

Yes, I paid $30/hr and I thought that it was going to take him all day but after 2 hours the installer came in and told me the car was ready. you know they say a fool and his money is soon parted I had my income tax and i didn't hear them right I thought it was $30 for the install not per hour. anyway what is done is done, that was 3 years ago and I sold the car the installer put it on. I bought this 1989 Ply. Voyger van and I thought it would make a nice addition to it so I read up on it and basiclly wired it the same way on the van... I believe it was a CP2+P made by Omega and that is the one I guess bit the dust Oh the panic feature still worked when I pulled it out but, the lock feature(s) quit and the chirps for arm/disarm was not working either so I bought the Autopage RF-315 from the same dealer but I didn't have them install it just from the past experience and I had the idea I could do it by myself since I did the Omega. the dealer seemed to think since I already had a alarm installled (Shock Sensor, relays for the DLS) that they would interface but everdently there was a broken unlock wire leading from the brain to the relay possibly causing the mod to go defective. at any rate this rf-315 is not acting right now.. my luck I lost the op man. and what ever I have done the darn thing sounds off ever couple of seconds and no matter what I do the thing still does it's chirps so I just d/c'd it for now.

Thanks for the reply.

I got it somewhat figured out... I got the relays and the 3 wire lead to the module wired up. now my problem..

the Ignition controlled dls works fine. the problen is: one door lock works backwards! and when I push the arm button it chirps for about 12 times which is the vechicle locator when armed...the problem is I havent armed it yet as far as I know.

Any help would be very welcomed at this point.
