ok this mite sound weird but i have 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier motor wiring and computer (2.2l ecotec). i got the motor and wiring out of a car at the wrecking yard. now what im going to do with it is build a rockcrawler with this set up . now i can buy a computer and wiring from a company but i want to do this all my self . I have been doing a lot of reading and looking around at what i mite run in to when doing this is the passykeyII or the passlock (what ever it is called). what im hoping to get from anyone on here is the no how to do this? does some one make a tunning software that i can bypass this? is there a module that will work in place of the lil black thing in side the igntion switch? and also would any one be able to get the wiring diagrams for me? thanks again if you need any more info i will get it for you Daniel Johnson

also been doing some reading and searching on this sight maybe i need this Universal Alarm Bypass Module part # 2x402 what is it and where can i get one if that is what i need ? dan

you can do a permanent passlock II bypass with a simple resistor. As far as the wiring diagrams go, find somebody with AllData, it will have alot of useful info there aswell for what you are trying to accomplish. Let me know if you want instructions for that permanent bypass for Passlock II.

so what if i dont want to do the resistor cause it will be in a off road rig and its going to be bouncing all over. im jsut fishing for info here need to get what i need so i can get this thing done thanks again Dan

I dont see how bouncing all around will have any effect on how the resistor would hold up, granted you install it right. Solder and tape is all you need. You could even solder and heatshrink if you wanted to. You could also go as far as solder, heatshrink, and use a popsickle stick and tape all that up to reinforce it! If you install it right, the resistor permanant bypass is your best solution.
