Hello all,
A few months back, you guys helped me install my alarm and it works greatwith one exception, I've lost the damn remote!! I've ordered a new one from DEIbut they tell me it has to be programmed. How do I do this and can I even do thisto a car that still has the alarm active??? If not, as I suspect, how do I disable the alarm? Can it be done with the key and the valet trigger? or some combination of???
Here is a link to my original thread...https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=61061&KW=zenica
turn the key to ign and press the push/prgramming/valet button.... this will shut down the alarm...
as far as learning the new remote, open the drivers door, turn the key to ign, press the programming switch once then press and hold it in... the LED should flash once, then press button 1 on the new remote, then press it again... the LED shouldflash confirmation and the horn/siren will chirp to confirm....

Thanks,this helps a lot...
No one said anything but I am guessing it can be done while the alarm is going off?
I noticed that after 3 times of going off after I left the door opened, it ignored that zone
and shut up.
Well, I tried the above and nothing...
The alarm continues to go off so long as the key is in the ignition and
it ignores the valet button....
Any ideas?
