I recently had an Avital 4200 remote start installed in my 2002 GMC Sierra. When I remote start the truck, I have to hit the remote's unlock button twice in order to unlock the doors. The 1st time I hit the unlock button, the doors stay locked and the parking lights do not flash. The remote unlock seems to function normally when I unlock the truck without 1st using the remote start. I am using the Avital remote for all functions. Is this normal? I don't see any programming options to change this.

Never really seen this, only thing I could think of was that driver door priority, but you said it only does this when it is remote started?
