Just wondering if anyone knew if there are any bypass modules for an 03 Jag X-type that don't require that you lose a key and that's compatible with Astrostart.

OK, a partially answered my own question. Just got off the phone with Jag and they use a Ford PATS bypass module and you don't lose a key. Now I would like to confirm if the Ford bypass will be compatible with Astrostart.

As long as the astro start has a ground output while running wire, then yes it will be compatible.

DEI doesn't list it as using anything other than a 556U, which requires a key. However, i would think a 556S would work too. Check the cars owners manual to see key programming. If they say you can program by turning one key on in the ignition for a few seconds then a second key, then the new key, it programs the same and a 556S should do it...
