my 457gw module is not working properly(Baught it off ebay). The negative out for the door trigger is measuring 12volts when the doors are closed and 0 volts when  a door is opened. I need to know how to wire a relay to give me either a + or - output when a door is opened. Thanks

A negative door trigger wire will show those exact measurements. Only with the door open, measure that lead for continuity to ground. Do not measure it for continuity to ground with the door closed. You can also connect the negative probe of your meter to the door trigger and the positive to a know 12 volt source with the door open or closed to check for ground while measuring voltage with your meter.

What year, make, and model vehicle is this going into?

Thanks a ton. I didn't have the dome light wired hooked up to it the first time I tried and it was setting off the alarm. Just wired the door trigger wire back up and worked like a charm. Thanks for fast reply.
