What bypass did you use? Check your connection on the parking lights, you MUST have the wrong wire. If you used the correct bypass, the locks and door trigger should be done THRU it. The door pins are also found IN the doors, on both sides. -------------

I have had many problems out of this alarm right now when i driveing the alarm keeps paging the remote about every 15 minutes and when i unlock the door the dome lights do not light up my installer told me to turn the factory dome light setting off and i did now the dome lights will light up when i disarm the system but will not when i activate the system. can any one tell me whats going on .why does the alarm keep paging its self. and if i leave the dome light switch in the on position when i remote start the truck the alarm goes off. with the dome light switch off when i remote start the truck the alarm doesn't sound. 2004 chevy Tahoe Help!!

Take it back to the guy who put it in.. sounds like he's useing a dome light supervision for your entire alarm trigger.. the alarm keeps paging itself probably because it is seeing an trigger somewhere or not seeing one somewhere.. either way it sounds like you got a bad install... let them deal with it!

i am not familiar with the avital part numbers but i am familiar with the DEI product. i would say that you may have the "armed while driving" programmed on or the "vrs" security. which is triggered when the door is opened. on the other hand the system may not be seeing ignition and could be triggering the remote to page the owner because the shock sensor is seeing movement. if this is a remote starter and alarm system what kind of "security bypass" module did he use? there is a specific module for that truck that will do the door trigger-domelight supervision-locks-security-passlock-and horn honk. if this module was not used i suggest it. it works nicely and programmes very easy. it is called a 457g and directed electronics sells it. well worth the money. i hope i could be of some asistance. ------------- canada's cold eh.
