I have most of this stuff hammered down but this is my first "modern car" alarm install and so I'm a little foggy on a few things (I installed my last alarm into my 88 Trans Am, which consisted of about 10 wires total).

The car is a 97 Celica GT and the unit is a 2W900FM-AS with a CM3000 brain.

I need some help with the second ignition relay. From what I understand the RED / white wire should be connected to a constantly hot 12v source (I plan on using the battery with another fuse under the hood). I'm not sure what to do with the other two wires. It makes sense that the purple wire coming off pin# 85 should be some kind of switched ground but I have no idea where I would find a switched ground in the celica. I also think that I should splice the blue wire into the 2nd ignition wire in my harness. Is this correct?

Here's a link to a picture of the relay and it's wiring incase you're not following what I'm saying: https://www.epsilongraphics.com/img/alarmhelp2.gif

I also don't what to do with all of the negative outputs on cn2: lights out, status output, ignition output, accessory output, and starter output.

Should I use the status output as the switched ground for the second ignition relay (the manual says that it will come on one second before ignition on and will stay on until one second after ignition turns off). Aside from this one wire should I just ignore the rest of them?

Also, if anyone has a good diagram for the car can anyone tell me what wire I should tap into for the door sensing?

Thanks a lot :D

What you need to do is attach the PURPLE wire to the GREEN wire from the CN2 harness ( 2nd IGNITION output ). The BLUE wire then goes to the 2nd IGN of the vehicle. All the other wires that are not used from the CN2 harness you can tape up and put away.

The door trigger wire on the vehicle is RED / WHITE (-) trigger located in harness going to rear of vehicle in driver's door sill. Attach this to the RTED/WHITE wire in the CN3 harness.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. My only other question is this: should the RED / white wire for the 2nd ignition relay get constant 12v from the battery or from a switched source? The manual says constant so I would assume the battery.

Also, that RED / white wire is also the wire I should tap into for dome light supervision, correct?

The relay that you have should be pre-wired into the CN1 harness. The RED / WHITE wire should be getting 12 volts constant.

The DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION wire is the same wire as the door trigger.

gumert,

Thanks all for the help. Everything seems to be working now with one exception: the remote start. The system tries to start the car but the car won't start. I decided to sit inside the car and try hitting the clutch - vola, the car started. Both times I ran through the start the car, apply brakes, apply barking brake, take foot of brakes, stop car process.

Got it working. You need to feed 12v to the wire that's initially grounded (think it's BLACK/ white). Thanks for all the help everyone posted_image
