I have a 2001 Chevy Venture and i am trying to hook up to my factory drivers priority unlock feature, So I am at the BCM and i am testing for the lock and unlock, no problem.  Then i try to find the drivers unlock onlt, and the only wire I can find is a wire that shows 12v and then drops to 0v when i push the factory transmitter.  So i probe the wire with my test light and I get nothing.  So I decisde to press the unlock button while I hold the test light to this wire, and the drivers door does not unlock like ti is supposed to, so I pull the test probe of the wire and then the drivers door unlocks, so it remembered that I had pressed the unlock button.  I can't figure out what I need to do.  Is this the wrong wire or do I need to do something else to this wire?  I was thinking I will try to cut the wire and see if breaking the continuity then reconnecting it works, is that a terrible idea?

Thanks

you have to 5 wi the unlock motor wire, so you need  relay.

You can cut the wire, use a spare wire and put a 5amp fuse in it, put one side to 12vlts and the other the car side of the cut wire. if it unlocks the drivers door your good to go to wire in a relay

So just like half of this but with a 5 amp fuse between the car and the relay.   In my case the switch is the BCM and the motor is the other half?

Just a quick thought, do I need the fuse in the set up, or just to test?

Thanks a lot.

Just use the 5amp wire to test. And you can wire the relay just as the picture says, you'll only need the unlock one though.

I tried it quickly, but it did not work.  I will try it again tomorrow, but I wanted to see of there was another possibility.  Could there be another wire for that has to do with the drivers door unlock.  I know that for the lock and unlock there are two that I can probe with my test light that will lock and unlock....That is why I thought there should be two for the drivers door, but I did not find one right away.
