I'm losing my mind trying to hook up my keyless entry I bought to the power lock system on my 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE 4 door. I have the alarm working perfectly, but I have tried for 2-3 hours to figure out the power door lock system. The car is not equipped with factory keyless entry, just power locks. I think it is a 5 wire alternating system? I put a system in my 91 Camry and it was extremely easy, this car is a pain.

DEI lists:

Power Lock      lt. blue      either kick panel
Power Unlock      white    either kick panel

PONTIAC, SUNFIRE, 1997, Power Lock

Non keyless cars, locks are 5wi (type C) and they are mastered from the passenger side switch. Keyless cars, locks are positive trigger (type A).

I have installed alarms, but not in this type of system. the Camry was 2 wires and it worked flawlessly, do I need to use relays??? I found the light blue/white wires, so I need to do it all from the passengers side? kick panel? Or right from the switch itself?

5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks
Like the configuration above, the switch, when moved in either direction, applies both power and ground directly to motor legs  without the use of any relays. Except, at the switch in this case, both motor legs rest at ground . Therefore it is only necessary to change the polarity of one motor leg to lock or unlock the vehicle.
