I purchase an alarm and keyless entry (deipython160hp) with installation at circuit city on the 29 Oct 06. My car was working great up until this point. The next day my car would not start. I took it back to the store after getting a jumpstart and they told me that my battery would not hold a charge so the guy at the store took me to purchase a new battery. I paid for the battery and they took the whole system out and refunded my money. The question is: Could the alarm system cause the battery to die and not keep the charge?

No, it could not.

If it had a relay sticking, it could.
