One press locks and lights flash once.
One press unlocks and lights flash twice.
Anyway so you can double tap the button for a lock command?

If its daylight and you can't see lights you don't know what lock condition it's in.

No info in install manual.

Tnx

Here's a crazy idea.

No doubt you must have a relay already for parklights - good, leave it that way.

Now, cut the white parklight out wire of the 561.

Connect the white wire from the brain to pin 30 of a second relay relay.

Connect the other end of the cut white wire to pin 87 of the second relay.

Connect pin 87a to the negative horn trigger in car.

Connect pin 85 to the status out wire.

Connect pin 86 to B+.

Now locking/unlocking will honk horn - but only if the car isn't running.

When engine starts, parklights turn on and they will flash when you lock/unlock.

It's not perfect but it's the best you can do with what you have.

That's why I completely avoid anything that has lock and unlock on a single button.......they should always use two separate buttons.

What kind of car do you have?

You could set the unit up to trigger the hazard lights ONLY with lock, and not with unlock, or vice versa, and then you'll know.

Both of those diagrams will work, but a 1.0-second horn honk will probably be objectionable.

true BUT on the 561 you can set the door lock pulse to .8, .4 or 3.5 sec pulse. Almost all door locks will operate with only .4

Thanks. Honda Civic 98. Changed job location so I use it for daily high mileage commute. Can't kill this car @ 150K miles. Had an old 561 never used and with winter in Mass. like the remote start.

"Really" like the idea of the Horn at .4 on the lock sequence. Basically I have a Honda CRV 2002 that is set up that way.
Generally I walk a way from a vehicle, don't look back, click my remote and when I hear the horn its locked.

So its as simple as the neg lock wire triggering the - horn wire via a relay?

Also - does the diagram show 2 diodes or what in between?

I'll try it out Sat and let you know.

yes they are diodes, you must put them in with both the bands facing the 561 or else every time the door locks (even from the switch or when the 561 locks you in the car when the ign is engaged w/ tthe key) the horn will honk. Which you def. dont want to happen. The diodes are there so that the lock honks ONLY when you hit lock w/ remote

thats the 1 thing you get when you down grade to the lesser of 2 units, 562 system would have a horn wore so that horn would honk like lights flash, and include a panic mode, too many times people try to save a few bucks on the units then complain that they dont do certain features without extra work and cost as is the case here, no offense intended but next time do some more research and find a system that will incorporate all the features you require

Hey Jim! You probably been playing with your remote a long time. Try spell and grammar check next post.!!

I have upgraded systems for 3 cars. The 561 was a flea market $10. job. How many units do you use for your
dayglo 73 firebird with steering wheel fuzz?

f off baby!

Thanks again to the rest of the responders.

Thanks to all. IT worked fine. NOW since I think I now what I'm doing. Got 3 of them at a flea market. So I installed one in my daughters Honda CRV today. Just want remote start and antigrind. Using original Factory lock/unlock. All fine except what I didn't discover till I drove it up the street.

The remote start and Omega bypass works. Lights etc.
" BUT" unlock/lock -
works only when the remote start is NOT activated. If I
remote start I need to manually use a key to get in or lock.

Could it be the anti grind relay? Used the basic one on
the12v page.

ooooooppps, that is the WRONG unit to use in that car. You need the 561R. In most ALL imports ex. nissan, the factory remote does not work when ign. is powered on. No way around it, thats just the way it is. Alos the range on those remotes is kinda crappy, you need to use keyless entry w/ rs, just like the 561r or 562r that you used before
