I recently installed on my 2000 Saturn S-Series a Galaxy 2000RS starter. The Saturn has Passlock 2 security so I also installed a DEI 555L bypass module. The problem I am having is this. When I remote start the car it cranks over and attempts to start but almost immediately the security light illuminates on the dash and the car shuts off. The remote starter then attempts to start the car itself again and the car will start fine without the security light illuminating and everything is great! Any idea as to what is happening here and how I can fix this so I do not have to replace my car's starter motor in 3 months ;)
Thanks for any assistance!

sounds like a problem with the status output wire off the remote start that is activating the 555l......please tell us how you hooked up the 555l in detail and i can help more

Where theres is a wire there's a way.
Update: (while I am waiting for my buddy to reply to this thread who was the one who actually did all the wiring of the system).
The remote starter seems to work fine if all the car doors are closed now. Odd, but nevertheless I can live with this if indeed after testing it for a couple more days proves to me that the remote starter is consistently working now. Hmm, these Saturns are indeed odd cars ;)
The blue/orange from the Galaxy is connected to the blue/black from the 555L. My installer said something about a possibility the Galaxy is not turning on the Remote Start Output quick/long enough so thus why we get security during first start attempt but not the second start attempt. Any help would be appreciated.
Well it looks like after extensive investigation that the DEI 555L bypass is not really compatible with Saturns so I have decided to go with an Omega PLXR bypass module which has been tested to work fine with this remote starter. Odd, but I will keep the DEI for my Cavalier which works just fine.
