Hi, everyone!   This is my first post, so I am a newbie.  After browsing site and using the search feature, I did not find an answer to my problem.  So, heres my problem.  I have a 1991 honda Civic hatchback with manual tranny that I installed a compustar 1wam-s, remote start.  The problem I am having is i can start car without using clutch when ebrake is engaged, but when ebrake is not engaged I need to use clutch like normal to manually start car.  Is this normal?

Also when I put car into reservation mode I do not need to touch brake pedal to do so.  Just ebrake, remove key, close door and reservation mode is set, and starter works fine. When car is remote started releasing ebrake will shut car off when I get into it.  I thought touching the brake would only does this.  I checked wires at brake: one wire is 12v+, other wire is 0volts, when I press brake 0volt wire becomes 12v+.  But during the open postion(brake pedal not pressed) the 0volt wire will beep the continuity to ground feature on my DMM.  Is this correct.

This problem sounds to me as a bad module.  Any help will be greatly appreciated .  I called store where I bought it and the installer said that the ebrake wire I have attached to wire at fuse box could be causing the problem, so move it to ebrake.  Remote Starter works fine other than these problems.:errr:

Thanks, michelin

How did you bypass the clutch ? If you tied the park brake wire to the status output wire, then this would be the problem because the status output wire ( BLACK ) outputs a (-) when running. You do not need to have the foor brake engaged to set the reservation mode.

The status output wire(black) is connected to my clutch relay.  Ebrake wire is connected to cn3/pin 1.  Thanks for the reply.

I figured the problem out.  i had to switch the black (GWR) wire to the RED / black wire in cn2 harness.

problem is solved.

Thanks, for reply's michelin
