This is a quicky - I'm going to add a relay to my siren output and put a flasher in the curcuit, then run it to my horn, so both go off when my alarm is triggered. My question is this: will standard 12v flasher handle a full load of a horn? (2-4a?) or does a car normally use a relay between the flasher and the lights?

P.S. - Does anyone know of a siren/pezio screamer/ nerve tingler ;) that I could add as a cabin deterrent? I'm l,ooking for the same effect that some alarms/headunits use with the sound system - It doesn' t have to be exceptionally loud, just really annoying. Also, do you know of anything that is just plain attention getting? I'm looking for something a little unique - maybe exceptionally loud, or somehting like that. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi NyxBass, it will work as you described with adding a standard flasher between a relay and the horn. As far as normal for a car...hmmm... some use relays before the flasher and some don't.
