Hi there,

I am buying a xmas gift for my boyfriend and i dont know what is the best item to buy. We live in Chicago and it has been snowing lots this Winter and i wanted to surprise him with an alarm system AND an auto starter for our SUV. Its very cold and we usually need to heat up our car and turn on the heater (for me) before we go to work...

Will the Crime Stopper be a good choice?

When I first started doing R/S units-strictly as a hobby-  I gave them away for Christmas gifts- I would "borrow" the car for a night- a couple of weeks before Christmas- then install the starter- hiding all evidence- even the antenna- then on Christmas day I had them unwrap the remote- and press the button- most though it was a fancy keychain with a light on it- but then then heard their car outside start-up-- boy were they happy!!!-- I have had good experiences with the Crimestoppers- you certainly can't beat the price..............

Crime stoppers are nice units, if you want one with a nice alarm on it and a good auto starter, I would go with a viper or DEI unit.. Astro is my choice for a RS but Im not real happy withthe alarm system on them....
