Hey gang -

I'm going to be installing a remote start in my girlfriend's car for Xmas and was hoping to find a little info before I jump into it. I've checked DirectWire and they only go up to a 2002 on the Outback Sport, but up to 2005 on the Outback. The wiring seems to be fairly consistent between the two models, but was hoping someone could fill me in on any possible updates/changes if you've had experience with the 2006 Outback Sport.

The other question I had (and most important). Does anyone know if the 2006 Outback Sport makes use of an immobilizer system? I know the regular Outback has one, but DirectWire indicates that up until 2002, the Outback Sport doesn't. I'm trying to be stealth about this and she'll definitely notice the second key missing ;)

Thanks for the help.

I dont have an 05 in the data base but the 06 is differnt than the 02.. 2nd ign and so on, locks are different I can fax ya the 06 if you want. The 2.5 L engin is the only one that my database says has a transponder .. if it does have one, XK02 SUBDL firmware from bypasskits.com will get ya by it
