I was wondering if it is normal for the headlights to come on after I remote start my truck  as it starts to get dark outside even though I spliced into the parking lights wire? The truck has the sentinal feature where as the lights come on when it's dark outside. I don't want to fry the unit by pulling to much current through it. I hope this makes sense. Oh btw I installed a Astrostart 2205.

It's not the daytime running lights. The headlights come on when I remote start the truck at night and I am wondering if this will hurt the control unit? Thanks

its ok for the headlights to come on when the truck is running. It is doing what it should be doing.

Is it necessary to hook up the 2nd acc. wire when installing a remote start in a 02' Silverado? Thanks

you dont need the second acc, unless you notice something not powering up. Make sure you do have the second ignition powered though.
